Town Code Review Committee




The Board of Selectmen appointed a seven-member Town Code Review Committee on March 5, 2024, to study and recommend potential code changes.  Certain amendments were proposed for the May 20, 2024, Annual Town Meeting while others require further investigation and may be presented at future town meetings.

The committee met several times during the fall of 2024 and winter 2025 to discuss posssible code amendments.  On January 21, 2025, the committee voted to recommend seven revised chapters to the Board of Selectmen for their consideration.  The Selectmen, Town Attorney and residents will have the opportunity to review and comment on the proposals.  If you have questions or concerns about any of the code changes, please email them to townclerk@bethany-ct.com or call 203-393-2100 x1104.
