7/8/2025 - Salvatore Amadeo appointed First Selectman
Salvatore Amadeo was appointed First Selectman at a meeting of the elected Republican town officers on Monday, July 7, 2025.
The position was filled in accordance with Connecticut General Statutes Section 9-222.
Mr. Amadeo is a long-time Bethany resident who recently retired from a career as Purchasing Agent for the Town of Wallingford. He also served on the Bethany Board of Education for 12 years as well as the Planning and Zoning Commission.
Mr. Amadeo stated that his goal would be to keep the town running smoothly until the next election.
