1/22/2026 - Accessible ASL Video on Finding Warming Shelters

The Connecticut Department of Aging and Disability Services has released a new American Sign Language (ASL) video message from Director Anderson Morrison sharing guidance on how to find warming shelters across the state. The video explains how residents can use 211ct.org to locate nearby warming centers if they or someone they know needs a warm place to stay.

How to Find a Warming Shelter

  • Visit www.211ct.org
  • Type “warming shelter” and your location into the search bar
  • Click the yellow or orange search button
  • View the map and list of available warming shelters near you
