Great summer employment with flexible work shifts in Bethany, CT.

 

You’ll enjoy our beautiful lake setting in these part-time, seasonal opportunities (Memorial Day through Labor Day weekends).  We are open daily, offering 4- and 7-hour work shifts between 10am – 5pm.

 

The rate begins at $16/hour (depending on experience).

 

You will be responsible for promoting and maintaining safe conditions in our swimming and kayaking areas by:

  • Maintaining an attentive position in the beach area by walking, sitting, and observing activities lakeside
  • Enforcing safety rules and regulations
  • Conducting rescues and administering first aid/CPR when necessary
  • Inspecting beach area to ensure proper maintenance and cleanliness (reporting issues to Parks and Recreation Director when necessary)

     

     

    Preferred Qualifications:

     

  • Lifeguard, CPR/AED certification (we will reimburse for current certification/recertification)
  • Experience working as a certified lifeguard and camp counselor

 

Work environment:  While performing this job, you will be exposed to heat and humidity with regularity.
