MINUTES’ CLERK NEEDED
Contracted Hours-dependent on need
Primary Duties
Attend monthly scheduled meetings and special meetings as needed. Meetings are typically scheduled to begin 7:00p.m./7:30p.m. Normally 5-6 evening meetings a month.
Duties and Responsibilities
- ·Note Taking during the meetings.
- Recording of the meetings.
- Drafting of motions.
- Composing minutes for the Commissions or Boards’ meetings in compliance with the State Statues and FOI requirements.
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or GED (minimum requirement) Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree (preferred in Public Administration, Business Administration, Political Science, or a related field)
- Experience in clerical, administrative, or government roles (1-3 years is often required)
- Experience with records management and meeting documentation is a plus
Skills & Knowledge
- Strong writing and grammar skills (for preparing meeting minutes)
- Knowledge of Open Meetings Laws & Public Records Laws
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Familiarity with municipal government procedures and terminology
Hourly Range
$23.00-$24.00
