Interim Part-time Custodian
Job Title: Interim Part-Time Custodian
Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday (possibility of some weekends) 20 hours per week afternoon/evening hours/flexible
Position Summary:
The Interim Part-Time Custodian is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly environment in all assigned facilities. This includes general cleaning, light maintenance, and ensuring that spaces meet health and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and clean floors in assigned areas
- Dust and wipe down surfaces, including windows, furniture, and fixtures
- Empty trash and recycling bins and dispose of waste properly
- Restock supplies in restrooms and common areas
- Perform minor repairs and report maintenance issues as needed
- Ensure proper use and storage of cleaning chemicals and equipment
- Lock and unlock facilities as scheduled
- Respond to emergency cleaning situations (e.g., spills) promptly
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous custodial or janitorial experience is a plus
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks for extended periods
- Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and safe handling procedures
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
Work Schedule:
- Part-time hours (flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends as needed)
