SUSTAINABLE BETHANY ANNOUNCES UPCOMING SEMINARS

The Sustainable Bethany Committee is pleased to present a lecture series focused on Environmental problems facing our community, state and world.

Thursday February 7 at 7 PM in the Senior Room on the lower level of Bethany Town Hall, February 7- Dr. Robert Crabtree- Professor of Chemistry, Yale University, Member, National Academy of Science and a Fellow of the Royal Society, expert on solar energy, member of the Bethany Clean Energy Task Force and Sustainable Bethany. He will be speaking on: Climate Change and New Energy Solutions 


Thursday March 28 at 7PM in the Senior Room on the lower level of Bethany Town Hall –Gary Hale, J.D.- CEO of Government Strategies; Consulting and Managing Partner, Advanced Energy Efficiencies; Former State Senator, 1987-93 (17th District); Senate Co-Chair of Energy Committee. He will be speaking on: Solutions to Climate Change in Connecticut: The New Administration

Thursday April 11 at 7 PM in the Senior Room on the lower level of Bethany Town Hall.  Lee Grannis, Lieutenant Colonel US Army (Retired)- Coordinator, Greater New Haven Clean Cities Coalition, member of the Bethany Clean Energy Task Force and Sustainable Bethany. He will be speaking on: Low Emission Vehicles and Mature Technologies

Thursday May 9 at 7 PM in the Senior Room on the lower level of Bethany Town Hall. Dr. Gale Ridge- Assistant Scientist, The Connecticut Agricultural Experiment Station. She will be speaking on: Turning Eden into dust. How climate change is impacting our area and what can be done to preserve over 800 threatened and endangered species that live in our back yards, farms, and woods in Bethany and beyond.
