The Human Services Department ensures that health and human services are provided, available, and accessible to all residents of the town of Bethany. As a town agency, the department is responsible for assessing community needs, promoting public knowledge and understanding of identified needs, and stimulating community responses to those needs.

FREE TAX PREPARATION now available at an IRS-certified Connecticut Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) site. This service available to those who generally make $56,000 or less. Woodbridge Senior Center is our local VITA site. Call 203-389-3429 for appointments and all the necessary details.
FREE TAX PREPARATION is also available courtesy of AARP volunteers. No income restriction. AARP membership is not required. Our AARP site is at the Seymour Senior Center located at 20 Pine Street in Seymour. Must call for an appointment 203-888-2507. Service in Seymour available only on Thursdays from February 6-April 9. 9 AM-1 PM.

Just a reminder: There is no Senior Bus Service on weekends, or on holidays that fall on Monday, Wednesday or Friday, or if Amity School District is closed due to inclement weather.

Home visits are available to Bethany residents who temporarily or permanently, cannot come to the Town Hall to apply for programs.

The Town of Bethany provides transportation to seniors for shopping and medical appointments on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Contact:
